Jane Wellsy hides a forbidden crush on her half-brother Nate Duncan. Her worst enemy, college hockey bad boy Zach Gates, discovers it. Nate's new girlfriend is Melissa, the girl who bullied Jane in high school. When Melissa finds a steamy story Jane wrote and suspects it is about Nate, Zach protects Jane by starting a fake relationship with her. As they spend more time together, Jane sees the kind, generous heart beneath his cold bad-boy act, a heart ready to heal her wounds and stand by her.
